This configuration is commonly called “lame”: one side slides
along an overhead guide supported by pillars, while the opposite
side slides along a floor mounted guide and is placed adjacent to
an existing building, allowing access to the tunnel from the shed
wall without any interference. Construction work is required to
build the continuous foundation and the pillar bases.
The truss geometry can be single or double pitch.
